After participation in a local/international voluntary project, many volunteers are enthusiastic about SCI and want to stay involved. There are many ways to activate yourself for SCI. Most volunteers become active for a branch and do different things. For example they edit a newsletter, update websites, organize information evenings or preparation weekends for new volunteers. It is also possible to take up a position in the board of a branch or coordinate an local/international voluntary project yourself. SCI-SL is willing to take in new volunteers for all kinds of support tasks. If you are interested in supporting at international level, then please contact the International Secretariat.
All volunteers get the chance to participate in meetings, trainings or seminars and expand their knowledge, skills and capacities in a certain area and exchange experiences with SCI volunteers. There are seminars and trainings on many different themes, like human rights, peace education, sustainability or project planning.
