Recently ended work-camps
Out of the hundreds of work-camps of SCI-SL, we publish only the ones ended recently. Click he links below to learn about the recently completed work-camps.
(This work-camp was conducted by the University of Nottingham Sri Lankan Society, where about 32 students od the University of Nottingham participated in the process of reconstructing a hospital in Mampitiya, Sri Lanka. The work-camp was named the "Rebuild Lanka" work-camp/project by the members of University of Nottingham Sri Lankan Society. Some of long term volunteers of SCI-SL also participated in the process of reconstructing the hospital)
(This work-camp was organized by our long term volunteer Miss. Maduka Karunarathne, and the work-camp basically consisted of many work packages. Fundamentally, the work-camp was organized with the aim of protecting the sea turtles in Ambalangoda)
No More War Work-camp started on 28th December, 2011 and went on until 11th January, 2012 in Muthur. Work included (1) renewing and repairing the projected Peace center with the help of local people and the staff of 3CD. (2) Meanwhile, the volunteers engaged in repairing and painting the hospital in Muthur with the help of villagers if time permits.
